I have been creating effective explainer animations for 10+ years for companies of all sizes – from 10 employees to 10,000.  These are the steps:

  • Scope:  I will help you to sort out and clarify what you want to say
  • Write: Develop an effective narrative to clearly explain the product or service
  • Design: Find a style that most effectively communicates your message
  • Animate: Bring the story to life with motion and sound

Learnings from my years creating explainer animations

  • Keep it short — Detailed information can be delivered through other means:  The goal of the animation is a high level overview.  You want to keep your viewer’s attention
  • Clarity of message — Make sure the most important benefits come through in the animation.  If the product is software, make sure the screens are clearly shown*
  • Key details — Add the details that make your product or service unique
  • Unify with your brand — Tie the look and messaging in with existing materials to help keep your brand unified to outsiders
  • Extend usage — Use materials and ideas from the animation for social media, powerpoint presentations, print, web

*I have extensive experience working with software screens.  I know how to make sure that the screens shown communicate what you need to show.
